Pot limit games usually place a fixed amount on bets and raises. In draw poker, the limit is generally double the previous bet. In stud poker, the limit is doubled after the draw. If a player has a pair of aces, the limit is usually increased. The pot limit should also specify a maximum amount of chips that a player can bet or raise. Regardless of how much a player has in the pot, they should follow the rules of the game.
